My Grandmother Was Discharged Today

15 January 2008

As i was walking back home, i was surprised when i saw that the windows were opened. I unlocked the door and saw my father holding on to my grandmother's hand as she walked slowly to my brother's room. Due to the fact the my aunts were sick and did not want to spread the illness to my grandmother, she had to stay in our house. I was very happy to see her and rushed to my brother's room to greet her. She replied to my greeting softly and smiled at me.

I helped my father pack my brother's stuff to my room temporarily as she could not walk much and had to use a low bed like my brother's. I had a Double-Decker bed so my room could accommodate two people. Even though it was quite messy with all that new arrangement, our family did not bother about this bit of hassle. All of us were trying to assist her in the best way we could, asking her for anything she needed and any television programme she wanted to watch. When she took her nap, no one dared to make any noise.

She looked very happy when staying here but hope that my aunts would recover soon too.
